We at Swiss Solidarity (“Swiss Solidarity”, “we” or “us”) believe it is vital to protect your privacy when you access the information on our website. That is why we want to tell you what we do with your personal data, in particular how it is processed, disclosed, secured and deleted.
Personal data (“data”) refers to all data relating to a particular individual or identifiable person. You give us your data when you donate to a fundraising campaign, subscribe to our newsletter or take part in some other campaign (e.g. a quiz). Usually you just give us your name, address – comprising the postcode, town and country where you live – telephone number, e-mail address and date of birth. We also record your IP address.
We can also record the data using cookies. We can receive your IP address, location, navigation and click stream data and can record how long you spent on our website. If you ask us to link you to other websites (e.g. with your Facebook account), this is also a source of information for us.
Personal data linked to financial transactions (e.g. credit card data) are not transferred to us. This data is processed according to the data protection rules and regulations of the websites and platforms responsible for handling this data.

We take technical and organisational measures in order to protect the data you give us against unauthorised processing. We improve these measures continuously, keeping them up to the latest technical standards. However, even with state-of-the-art technical measures, data cannot be protected entirely.
Particularly sensitive data, for example bank details given to us in a fundraising campaign, are collected directly by our partners; please refer to their data protection regulations.
We only save your data for as long as the law allows us to. Thereafter, all data is deleted. If you submit a job application to us and are unsuccessful, your data will be deleted immediately.
