Last Friday an earthquake followed by a tsunami caused enormous damage on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. In a current toll, several hundred fatalities and thousands of injured are spoken of. However, many areas have not yet been reached, so it is to be feared that the number of victims will increase.
The people affected have lost everything. They urgently need water, food, medical care and shelter. Our partner relief organizations have started to provide urgent help together with their local partners.
Thanks to your donations, our partner relief organizations can provide this urgent emergency aid and, further on, help the people to repair or rebuild the destroyed houses.
