Swiss Solidarity’s Emergency fund
The first few hours and days after disaster strikes are crucial to getting aid to the people affected without delay. And this is precisely where our Emergency fund comes in, making it possible to deploy aid as quickly as possible and without red tape, often before a fundraising campaign can be launched. In the case of major events or disasters, we can save precious time and act immediately to provide effective support to those affected by the humanitarian crisis.
Make a donation
You can donate year-round so that when an emergency arises for which we cannot organise a fundraising campaign, we can still step up and help those in need, wherever in the world they are and whatever the situation. Thank you so much for your donation.

“Emergency relief is a core component of what we do on a daily basis. To ensure that people affected by natural disasters, conflicts and other crises receive support quickly, it is of paramount importance that we have funds readily available so that we can take immediate action.”

Ernst Lüber
Director of Programmes & EvaluationUpdate on the situation

Given the unpredictability of disasters, the ability to react quickly is a decisive asset.
You too can help ensure that we can mobilise resources immediately in the event of an emergency without having to wait to launch an appeal for donations. This saves us precious time when every minute counts.
