In 2023, the solidarity of the population was demonstrated on several occasions, in particular for the victims of the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey, in Morocco and Afghanistan and for the victims of the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. In total, Swiss Solidarity was entrusted with more than CHF 54 million in donations.
In 2023, Swiss Solidarity supported millions of people in emergency situations. The Foundation funded 344 projects in 40 countries – including Switzerland – with a total of almost CHF 70 million. Most of the aid was provided in Ukraine, Turkey, Syria, East Africa and Switzerland.
