For over 75 years, the Fondation suisse de la Chaîne du Bonheur «Swiss Solidarity» has embodied the solidarity of the people of Switzerland. In partnership with the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation SRG-SSR and private media entities, the foundation alerts the public and appeals for donations for victims of natural disasters and conflicts, child relief and vulnerable people in Switzerland. Abroad, Swiss Solidarity supports the humanitarian projects of its 25 partner NGOs. In Switzerland, Swiss Solidarity works with various local organisations when gaps in the Swiss social welfare system become evident. The foundation functions independently, responsibly and transparently, monitoring projects and seeing to the judicious use of donations. Since 1946, Swiss Solidarity has raised over two billion Swiss francs.
