In the early hours of New Year’s Day, a fire in a bar in Crans-Montana claimed the lives of dozens of people and left more than a hundred injured. This tragedy has deeply shaken us.

Our thoughts are with those who have lost a loved one. With those who are hoping, waiting, worrying. With all those trying to make sense of what happened. And with the injured, who are now engaged in a difficult struggle to recover.

In the face of such a tragedy, words often fall short. Solidarity and being surrounded by caring, compassionate people are essential.

We wish everyone affected by this tragedy the strength and courage needed to endure this terrible ordeal.
