ESCUnites: Swiss Solidarity and the SSR launch a platform for community projects

17.04.2025

The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 (ESC) will not only take place in the arena in Basel – it will be experienced throughout the country. The new community platform ‘ESCunites’, a joint project of the SSR and Swiss Solidarity, offers an official stage for local events and activities organised by the Swiss population for the first time.

The ESC unites platform makes this movement visible: project organisers can register their events online, which will then be given visibility once approved – including the right to use the official ‚ESC unites’ logo. With a bit of luck, the ESC social media team will even visit the event to report on it. Anyone who wishes to do so can link their activity to a donation collection for the Swiss Solidarity charity, thereby making a concrete contribution to solidarity.

ESCUnites offers an opportunity to harness the solidarity and creativity that has been demonstrated in our country during this exceptional musical gathering. You can all participate by carrying out an action that reflects who you are and shows the Swiss population's commitment to a diverse and inclusive cultural scene.

ESC unites – How it works
The platform was launched at the beginning of the week and has already recorded numerous actions. The first examples impressively demonstrate how colourful and inclusive the framework programme for ESC 2025 will be. The Eurovision adventure is thus becoming a celebration for everyone – beyond the stage and at the heart of society. By organising their own event, everyone can participate in the great ESC movement in Basel – and beyond.
