Does your foundation support homeless or marginalised people, children who are abused, or the socio-professional integration of young people in difficulty in Switzerland? Or is it active worldwide and have as its mission to deliver humanitarian aid in crisis and disaster areas? Swiss Solidarity (SwS) connects potential donors with 26 Swiss partner organisations that deliver humanitarian aid abroad and at home. We judiciously select which projects to support, while ensuring that donations are used effectively, efficiently and sustainably.
Swiss Solidarity can facilitate your foundation’s work by carefully analysing our partner organisations’ projects, planning how to use your funds, and when the project ends, evaluating outcomes and sharing our findings with you. This considerably lightens your foundation’s workload in comparison with processing individual applications.
Support for current Swiss Solidarity campaigns. These funds remain open to donations as long as aid is needed, for instance following earthquakes or in ongoing conflicts.
This fund enables Swiss Solidarity to support the projects of partner organisations already on the ground, quickly and without all the usual red tape, outside the framework of a national fundraising day or an online appeal for donations. It is also used in cases of forgotten crises and conflicts.
Swiss Solidarity works with many specialised non-profit organisations in Switzerland that run drop-in centres for homeless and marginalised people, provide protection for children who have suffered psychological or physical violence, and offer social and professional prospects to marginalised youth.
Children are the most vulnerable members of our society, and they are also our future. They have a right to health, education, safety and dignity. We must not allow their difficult circumstances to destroy their prospects.
“Swiss Solidarity is a trusted partner—we facilitate engagement in diverse fields and with different project sponsors. Thanks to our network and solid experience, we help foundations amplify this solidarity.”Miren A. Bengoa, Director of Swiss Solidarity
